Sarah is an award winning Heritage Consultant with over 25 years experience in the public and private sector, running her own practice for over 10 years.
Sarah assists clients seeking to secure change in the historic environment through the planning system to achieve successful permissions and consents to enable projects to proceed.
Sarah is often part of a wider team of planners, architects, engineers, landscape designers and ecologists working together for the client.
She has worked as a heritage advisor on high profile projects across England including projects such as High Speed 1 at St Pancras Station, the Network Rail South West Resilience Programme at Dawlish through to the transformation of the Grade II listed former Co-operative Department Store in Newcastle upon Tyne and the development and expansion of the Live Theatre estate on the historic quayside in Newcastle.
Sarah is a full member of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation (IHBC) and the Royal Town Planning Institute, a committee member of IHBC North and a Trustee of the Tyne and Wear Building Preservation Trust, a charity which works with local communities, funders and volunteers as well as end users to repair, conserve and regenerate historic buildings and structures across five local authorities in the North East.
